When people hear "cabinets" they think kitchen. But some of the most useful cabinets we install are in the rooms nobody shows off: the laundry room, the office, the empty space where the tv could go.
Here's where good cabinets earn their keep in the rest of the house.
Bathrooms
A bathroom cabinet can take a beating when dealing with steam from the shower, splashes from the small sink, and the need to hold a lot of stuff to keep clutter off the countertop. Some things to consider when picking bathroom cabinets include:
- Drawers over doors. Do you want deep drawers or do you want doors that hide pull out drawers behind them?
- Extra storage. Do you want to hide clutter with a tall linen cabinet or would a cabinet over the toilet fit our space and support our storage needs?

Laundry rooms
Most laundry rooms are a washer, a dryer, and a wire shelf. A few cabinets change how the room looks and functions.
- Cabinets over the machines keep laundry items out of sight and away from kids.
- A countertop over front-load machines gives you a place to fold your laundry.
- A tall cabinet hides the broom, the mop, and can include accessories, such as a fold out ironing board.
- A hanging rod between cabinets handles the clothes that can't go in the dryer.
A good layout makes the room more functional and easy to work in.
Home offices
If you work from home, built-in cabinets do something a store-bought desk can't: they fit the room you have. That might be a full wall of storage or a desk built into an awkward corner.
Think about what you need to make working from home easy for you. File drawers, a closed cabinet for the printer, open shelves for books, or a way to hide cords all make the space easier to work in.
Entertainment centers
A built-in entertainment center can be designed around your TV and your equipment. Tell us what you have: TV, sound bar, game consoles, and anything else that plugs in. We will go to your house to take measurements of the equipment that you have to help create the drawings for your space. We will be sure to include things that are often forgotten about such as airflow for electronics, hiding cords, and storage for gaming accessories.
